Last night for dinner I wanted to make a casserole and my particular recipe, not surprisingly, called for a can of condensed cream of celery soup. Well, we don't exactly have Campbells here so I turned to the internet for some possible substitutes. Do you know you can make your own condensed cream soup?! Not only can you make it from scratch, it's super easy! Just some oil, flour and milk and there you have it! Since I didn't have any celery (something we rarely find here) I made it a condensed cream of mushroom soup and sauteed some mushrooms and added them. It turned out great, was easy to make and then add to my casserole, which also turned out great! If I was living in the States, I'd have made a quick grocery run.
