Shauen was privileged to be interviewed (along with the LCMS Chief Mission Officer Rev. Kevin Robson and the LCMS Interim Executive Director of the Office of International Mission Christian Boehlke) in Porto Alegre, Brazil, during the annual Igreja Evangélica Luterana do Brasil - LCMS Alliance Project meeting to review and further the Alliance Missionary relationship which uses pastors from our fellowship partner in Brazil to fill openings in LCMS international missions, working side by side with LCMS missionaries.

Sermon on Acts 11:19-30 The Church in Antioch

Shauen had the privilege of preaching at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. This sermon uses a story of the church in Amambo, Mozambique, which was also shared with the LCMS Convention in 2019, as a parallel to the planting of the church in Antioch.

Missions Unpacked: Africa

This video is part of the LCMS Missions Unpacked series which made its debut in February 2021 when short-term team trips were not possible due to the global pandemic. Shauen introduces the work in the region for the first few minutes of the video and then appears again at the end to conclude. 

Shauen addresses the LCMS 2019 National Convention

The introductory video (about 90 seconds) is followed by Shauen's presentation to the ~1,050 voting delegates and ~200 advisors and observers of the 2019 LCMS National Convention. There is a concluding video about Mozambique as well, after which the business of the LCMS convention continues, starting with a resolution celebrating the LCMS's work in Africa and recognizing its missionaries, their families, and directors, Rev. Gary Schulte and Rev. Shauen Trump, adopted by the convention unanimously, moving on to other international mission resolutions around minute 17:30.
